USC Trojans Wide Receivers Coach Dave Nichol dead at 45 after battling cancer
USC Football Program is mourning the death of wide receivers coach Dave Nichol. The 45-year-old coach was recently ruled-out indefinitely from coaching due to a private medical manner, and the team brought on Luke Huard as an interim WR’s coach. Bruce Feldman announced his death on Twitter.
Nichol was very well loved around football, he worked with Mike Leach at Washington State and then traveled with him to Mississippi State before leaving for USC to work with Lincoln Riley.
Nichol ws a great wide receiver for Texas Tech and would eventually begin his coaching career as a student coach.
