Ronnie Hillman the former San Diego State University star running back and draft pick of the Denver Broncos is currently fighting for his life after a very strenuous battle with cancer.

According to a statement released from his family, Hillman was diagnosed with renal medullary carcinoma that is a rare and highly aggressive neoplasm form of cancer that primarily affects young African Americans with sickle cell traits.

Hillman was diagnosed with this back in August and it has hit him very hard. He has underwent treatment but it has not been successful. The family placed him in Hospice care at the young age of 31.

The family is requesting prayers and a miracle for Ronnie.

“As a family, we hope beyond hope, and we have faith that can move mountains,” the family said. “We also understand that God’s will is not always ours; therefore, we as a family subject ourselves to the will of our Almighty God.”

“We need your prayers, but we also need your understanding and respect for Ronnie and our family’s privacy at this time.”

Please lift up the former Broncos running back during this tough time.
