Florida High School football star Jhavon McIntyre is recovering after being shot three times at school

Jhavon McIntyre  the 18-year-old is a football cornerback looking to play college ball, though they are concerned his injuries from the shooting may hurt his chances.

A Florida high school student is recovering after a school shooting at Sanford Seminole High School.

A 16-year-old student named Da’raveius Smith, is facing numerous charges, including first-degree attempted murder. Police said Smith brought a gun into the school and shot 18-year-old student Jhavon McIntyre three times.  McIntyre was transported to Central Florida Regional Hospital where he underwent surgery.

Jhavon McIntyre had several offers from college as a senior cornerback on the Seminole High School football team. His goal is to play college, but he is recovering from three gun shot wounds. He is out of his second surgery now, and on the road to recovery.
