On Friday, a young football player from Raleigh, North Carolina was shot and killed. The 15-year-old named Christian O’Neal was shot around 6pm at night in Greensboro.
Officers found Christian O’Neal, a student at Millbrook High School, had been shot in the 3800 block of Central Avenue just before 6 p.m.
A GoFundMe was created for the family.
Head coach Josh Bunting said his “football family is upset and devastated by the news. He was a bright young man who had a ton of potential.”
Officials did not provide any details surrounding the circumstances of the shooting and are investigating it as a homicide.
