Peyton John “PJ” Evans was just eight years old and this week his teammates gathered around his little jersey and placed flowers as they cried.

Evans had the dreams to play one day in the NFL. His teammates arrived at his funeral wearing their jerseys, each with a red button that had a picture of PJ.

According to reports, PJ’s team had one a scrimmage then went to a family members house to celebrate. While celebrating, playing video games, a white sedan drove up and gunfire broke out in the parking lot outside. That is when they noticed PJ was fatally hit.

Please keep the Evans family in your prayers. We at NFL Draft Diamonds are sorry for your loss.
