1. Matt Corral QB Mississippi vs Tulane: Consensus Preseason QB 1 Spencer Rattler struggle vs this Tulane defense that held Him to 83.8 passer rating and 2 interceptions. Well Matt Corral had his shot and absolutely shredded the green wave defense posting a 136.8 passer rating with 3 TDs and 0 picks and didn’t put the ball in harm’s way at any point in that game his play when kept clean was exactly what you look for and I fully expect QB 1 talk now around Corral after 3 weeks of football.
2. Drake London WR Southern California vs Washington State: Was over the top and now showing the country that he can dominate on the outside and had a career day catching 13 passes on 19 targets for 170 yards and 2 TDs in a comeback victory. Posting a 103.8 passer rating when targeted. He now has 192 yards on only passes thrown 20 yards or more.
3. Jared Schiess DL Weber State vs James Madison: Jared Has been having his best year in his final campaign and was a force versus a top-tier James Madison squad. He was unblockable in the run game consistently crashing his man back to the runner and recorded a sack giving him 2 for as many weeks matching a career-high in any season. In a 37-24 loss he still was one of the best if not best players in the game.
4. Devin Lloyd LB Utah vs San Diego State: Was active all day and now seen as one of if not cleanest tacklers with great range and ability to read and cover pass-catchers allowing -5 yards passing in coverage. He had a clean game while adding 9 tackles in a triple-overtime loss.
5. Kenneth Walker III RB Michigan State vs Miami FL: Was the hammer to Miami Neal Walker had 27 carries and put up 172 yards 114 of those yards were after contact 5 of with went for more than 15 yards. Adding 3 catches as well and is up to 493 yards on the season 60 touches and hasn’t put the ball on the ground once.
6. Ty Chandler RB North Carolina vs Virginia: had 20 carries and 198 yards and 2 Tds vs Virginia. Chandler is adjusting to the heavy zone-blocking after transferring from Tennessee has been outstanding in his adjustment.
7. Kaiir Elam CB Florida vs Alabama: Was going up against an elite WR core in College football and held his own playing man to man vs John Metchie III and Jameson Williams when covered by Elam he allowed 1 catch. In man to man vs Alabama period was targeted 3 times allowed 0 catches. He is going to make himself a near-first-round lock unless he completely falls off the rest of the year.
8. Charleston Rambo WR Miami FL vs Michigan State: The entire offense in this game was built around Getting Rambo the ball 18 targets this week and had 12 catches on 156 and 2 TDs. It seems Rambo has left his drop problem in Norman where he transferred from he has 0 drops.
9. Kyle Hamilton Safety Notre Dame vs Purdue: This guy could be on this list 12 times that’s how good he is playing and how good his stock has Ballooned for me. Hamilton had 6 tackles one interception and two pass breakups this week. He had one interception that showed he has Top-level hands and could have easily played WR if he wanted he is that talented. Hamilton has been the best Defensive back in the FBS this season
10. Jack Jones CB Arizona State vs Brigham Young: Jack Jones’ team may have come up short vs BYU but Jack Jones played like the big-time recruit he was expected while at USC. He may get some red flags for off-the-field issues in the past but his game has been stellar and shown an ability to possibly start at the next level. Jack Jones vs BYU had 2 pass breakups and interceptions and allowed a 17.5 QB rating when targeted on 5 targets. On tape, he is well coached and his technique is much improved from when he was a senior at Long Beach Poly.
Honorable mention: Jalyn Armour-Davis CB Alabama vs Florida: This guy has been flashing a few times but is now on my radar. Playing more on the outside for Alabama the 6”1 CB gives no room for WRs to catch and is a great tackler he still has a small sample size but did walk away with a Interceptions on an easy pass to the outside it may have been a poorly thrown ball but he capitalized on it and that is the key in sports sometimes.
