Buster Skrine arrested for fraudulently obtaining 100k from banks in Canada

Former NFL football player Buster Skrine has been arrested in Canada after police say he fraudulently obtained more than $100K from a bunch of banks throughout the country.

Police claimed Skrine would identify himself as a retired NFL player, open bank accounts with fraudulent checks, and then obtain a portion of the dough before the check cleared.

Police believe he had completed this scam all over Canada.

Police arrested Skrine at Pearson International Airport on Wednesday after learning he had made plans to travel back to the United States.

Skrine played in the NFL for 11 seasons. He was drafted by the Cleveland Browns in the fifth round of the 2011 NFL Draft. He played college football at UT-Chattanooga.
