Tell us about your university/college. What is your major/minor? Did you participate in any other activities or campus organizations other than football?
I go to Samford University in Birmingham. I am a Human Development and Family Science major. I also run on the men’s indoor track team.

What do your teammates say is your best quality?
Definitely my speed, vision, and ability to separate. I’m also a fun energetic person. I always bring energy to the team regardless of what we’re doing.

What kind of role do you see yourself in on the team? What scheme and/or position suits your skill set?
Guys look at me as a playmaker. I can make plays on 3rd down or special teams. I’m used as an athlete on the field whether that be as a WR or RB. I’m also a vital part of the special teams on kick coverage and especially as a return specialist.

Who is the best player you have ever played against in college?
Quay Holmes is a RB at ETSU. That dude is a baller. I like his game. He’s big and fast.

Which one of your teammates impresses you the most?
Kendall Watson. He came in as a walk-on and worked his way up through the scout team. He just recently got put on scholarship. He really earned it.

Describe a time in your life when you were able to overcome a struggle.
I had an offseason hand injury in 2018. I began 2018 with a cast on my hand in the Florida State game. After that game, it was just wrapped up. I really wasn’t given too many opportunities in 2018 because the team wanted to slowly work me in making sure that I was fully recovered. Last season, I wasn’t hindered at all. I was one of the best returners in the country.

If you didn’t play football, what other sport would you play?
I’ve run track ever ever since high school. Coming to Samford, I wasn’t originally on the track team. I approached the men’s track team while at a basketball game and asked how could I join the team. I only had a little bit of practice before our conference meet this year, and I ended up running 5th in the 60m.

What is something that you are most proud of? What would you say is your biggest achievement?
My conference championship ring in Indoor Track this past season. That was the first indoor championship for the Samford indoor men’s team.

As far as football, I was named to the 2019 STATS All American Team as a return specialist. Last year, I led all of the FCS in punt return average with 21.9 yards.

Describe one of the most memorable plays of your collegiate career.
I had a punt return for a touchdown against Western Carolina. We were down and the team wasn’t really clicking on either side of the ball. I ended up with a 59 yard return for a score and that was the momentum changer that we needed to ultimately win that game.

Do you have a favorite athlete or professional team? Is there a player that you model your game after?
Tyreek Hill. What can I say? The man just won a Super Bowl. He has dangerous speed. You have to catch him if you want to tackle him

Who is your favorite music artist? What gets you pumped before a game?
Young Thug. I honestly don’t listen to much music before a game. I just try and get my mind right and focus on what I have to do.

What is your favorite comfort food?
My uncle makes the best crawfish boil.

Do you have a favorite movie or actor?
Martin Lawrence. Bad Boys.

What do you do in your spare time? Do you have any hobbies? Any secret talents?
I like to fish. One of the things that I can do is backflips.

Who or what motivates you the most?
My family. I want to be able to make it and give back to them some day.
