West-Talbot Foundation Silent Auctions: BID, WIN, DONATE and help make dreams possible

As many of you know our owner Damond Talbot and independent scout David West recently teamed up to create a non-profit organization that will help football players from the FCS, D2, D3 and NAIA levels who may have an invite to an All-Star event, pay for their cost to the game by scholarshiping the player for that event. Over the years, many football players have decided to not attend an All-Star event because it costs money. Some are told it is not a good idea to attend an event if they have to pay, but for small schoolers almost every event you will get invited to costs money.

Some of the biggest events out there like the CGS All-Star Game which had almost 100 scouts last year and the Dream Bowl/HBCU Spirit of America Bowl which had around 30 scouts have fees. We get asked the question every year about these fees. They are not cheap and many players will not end up attending them because they do not have the funds. Thankfully, this year we have had some huge help with NFL Trainer Chip Smith, Colts DB Pierre Desir, Raiders OT Brandon Parker and Falcons RB Ito Smith all coming through with sponsoring a player to attend a game.

We want to help as many players as possible, and right now it looks like we will be able to afford around 6 to 7 players right now, so what we wanted to do is come up with a way to land a few more donations and also find a way to give back to our readers and supporters. So we wanted to start a silent auction. What we are doing is we are accepting emails to nfldraftdiamonds@gmail.com with the amount you would like to bid on the items we have had donated to hopefully raise more money. All this money is being used back on small school football players. We are also still taking donations. We now have a Venmo (draftdiamonds) and Cashapp ($draftdiamonds) set up to receive money as well as our Paypal address which is west.talbot.foundation@gmail.com.
