NFL Trade Deadline triggers movement, Several moves that could go down

Could Cam Newton be on the move? He is one of the ten players mentioned in our article.

I am sitting here playing slot machines on my Android while I await my next flight and it is real simple, the NFL Trade Deadline is coming, and NFL teams are talking. I have heard today that two players in the AFC East are on the block and many more could be dealt by the trade deadline. On October 29, the NFL’s trade deadline will end and deals will be made, but let’s look at a few players that could be on the move.

Kenyan Drake, RB, Miami Dolphins – Kenyan Drake is not being used in this offense.  I could see a team making a move for him. I mean Mark Walton who was arrested in the off-season is getting more playing time than Drake.  Teams I could see going after Drake (Bills, Rams, Lions and Texans).

Trent Williams, OT, Washington Redskins – He is not happy in Washington and that is clear. He wants out.  This is an ugly divorce but I think this is going to happen sooner rather than later.  Teams I could see going after Trent Williams (Patriots, Browns, 49ers, and Raiders)

Rashard Higgins, WR, Cleveland Browns – I know this is going to sound crazy because he is better than Antonio Callaway and Baker loves him but the Browns are going to make a move or two before the trade deadline. This regime wants to win and they want to win now. I could see Higgins being used as a pawn to help them bolster their O-Line. Teams I could see going after Higgins (REDSKINS)

Leonard Williams, DT, New York Jets – The Jets need to do something with Williams. They are stacked at the defensive tackle position and they recently gave Steve McLendon a contract extension. That means Leonard Williams could be dealt.  I could see these teams going after Williams (Cowboys, Rams, Chiefs and Bears)

Ken Crawley, CB, New Orleans Saints – This guy has been inactive and there is no reason why, but to keep him healthy to trade him. They have a corner out this week serving  suspension but I think Crawley is dealt soon.  I would be not be shocked if he is traded very soon.  Teams interested in Crawley (Jets, Eagles, Lions, Jaguars and Dolphins)

AJ Green, WR, Cincinnati Bengals – I know their head coach recently said they do not want to trade their star wide out but let’s face it, Green is not happy anymore. He has been their star for a long time and not getting any help.  I think Green is dealt. Teams I think would be interested in Green (Bills, Patriots, Chargers, and Panthers)

Emmanuel Sanders, WR, Denver Broncos – He is by far one of the better slot wide outs in the game. He has actually overcome a serious injury and looks the part.  The Broncos could get some cap relief and a team could utilize him well and get their quarterback a veteran presence. Teams I could see interested (Buccaneers, Bills, Bengals, Seahawks, and Jets)

Cam Newton, QB, Carolina Panthers – I know you are probably saying to yourself are you kidding me? But I am not.  Think about this, there are some aging quarterbacks in the NFL and they will be leaving soon.  There are several teams I could see Cam going and being an upgrade, but I think this would have to be a special deal for the team.  Teams I think could be interested in Newton (Redskins, Chargers, Bears and Dolphins)

Delanie Walker, TE, Tennessee Titans and Tyler Eifert, TE, Cincinnati Bengals – The Titans are not using him right and there is one team that is struggling without a tight end. The team is the Patriots, but I could see Delanie Walker being a guy they go after and another player I could see the Patriots going after is Tyler Eifert. I think the Patriots would be all over them.
