NFL Draft Diamonds NAIA Diamond Report: Connor Niles, WR, Morningside University (NAIA) by. Chris Grissom

CLASS: SR

POSITION: Wide Receiver

HOMETOWN:  Sioux City, IA

Career Stats: Appeared in 56 games … made 367 receptions for 6336 yards  … recorded 73 touchdowns

In 2018 Niles was named to NAIA  All-American team and that’s for good reason. He lead the NAIA in receiving. Beyond that he is a talented deep ball threat. For the next level, Niles is very versatile. He can line up as an outside receiver and play the edge to challenge teams vertically. He also is dangerous out of the slot and could be a tough receiver to defend on underneath routes. When the ball is in the air, he is very adept at tracking it and playing the ball well in the air. He has soft hands and catches the ball naturally. Deceptively fast and separates from defenders well at the top of the route but needs to improve on that as well too be able to effectively compete against better competitors. Size could be an issue. Special teams will be a great way for him to make an immediate impact on a roster while adding depth to an important position.

He is a humble individual who will go above and beyond and that infectious nature will rub off on his teammates. More than likely 7th Round/ UDFA
