Remember this, in 2013 Tom Brady shocked the sports world, when he accepted a more than 50% pay cut to stay with The Patriots for three more years. Brady signed a deal that paid him $9 million per year instead of the $20 million he easily could have demanded on the open market. In total, Brady left a mind boggling $30 million on the table by not seeking his fair market value.

How did it work out for the Patriots?  Let’s look, the 39 year old gunslinger won the Super Bowl in 2014 beating the Seahawks, in 2015 the Patriots lost to the Broncos in the AFC Championship game, and last night the Patriots beat the Falcons.  Brady knew what he was doing, he could have been greedy, but the best quarterback of all time allowed his team to spend money on free agents rather than taking a huge pay day.
