Fort Hays State Univeristy 

Football is about giving back, what is the coolest thing you have done off the field? 

I volunteered at a local elementary school in Hays Kansas. I got the opportunity to help out in the classrooms. 

What was the hardest college class you ever had to take?

Liberal Arts

Where are you from? 

Coconut Grove Miami

Who is your role model, and why? 

Frank Gore is my role model because I was able to see how hard he had to work first hand to get to where he is today. I admire his work ethic and the things that he went through and he was still able to push through and keep working hard.   


Did you play any other sports growing up?


I ran track and played basketball 


Did you play any other positions in football? 


Wide Receiver 


At your position, what separates you from others? 


My vision of the field and my speed. 


When you are breaking down film, what do you look for?


I try to break down the opposing teams defensive tendencies. I try to examine what I will be able to do and won’t be able to do against certain teams. 


Who was the toughest player you ever faced? 


#73 from Northwest Missouri State


If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why? 


Tyreek Hill because I feel like I’m explosive like he is. I feel like he makes good cuts and he’s quick. That’s something I feel I can do good as well. 


What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it? 


Being out of school for two years and not being able to play football. I over came this by getting back focused and doing what needed to be done to get me back to where I needed to be. 


Do you have any pre-game rituals? 


I pray before I take the field for every game. 


What is your biggest strength? 


My speed 


What is your biggest weakness? 


Picking up blocks. 


If I were a GM and gave you a second to sell yourself, what would you say? 


I’m Shaquille Cooper. I work hard everyday to reach my goals, and if you give me one opportunity I will make the best out of it. 


Who was your favorite player and/or NFL team growing up? 


Marshall Faulk 


If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would you choose? 


Michael Jordan, President Obama and LeBron James. 


What will be the first big item you buy once you are in the NFL?


Buy my mom a house.
