Mo Wilkerson will end his hold out today — Muhammad Wilkerson will place the Franchise Tag

According to NFL Media’s Kimberly Jones the New York Jets will place their franchise tag on Wilkerson by Tuesday’s 4 p.m. ET deadline.

NYJ will place franchise tag on Muhammad Wilkerson by 4pm Tuesday deadline, according to someone with knowledge of team’s plans.

Wilkerson, 26, has been the rock of New York’s defensive line since joining the Jets as a first-round pick in the 2011 NFL Draft. He is coming off perhaps his best season to date, setting a career-high with 12 sacks while playing stout run defense.
