Breaking: Jets are working out DT Tanzel Smart

Tanzel Smart Jets
The New York Jets are hosting former Tulane defensive lineman Tanzel Smart this week. The Jets are thin at defensive tackle.

We are learning that the New York Jets are bringing in former Los Angeles Rams draft pick Tanzel Smart for a workout.

The former sixth round draft pick of the Los Angeles Rams was recently with the Buffalo Bills, and the Cleveland Browns.

Smart is a dog, he is only a 6010, 300 pound defensive lineman, but the young man is a bull.

He worked with Aaron Donald and has a similar build.

He has 20 tackles and one PBU in his career. He reminds me a lot of former Buffalo Bills defensive tackle Kyle Williams. Smart is a Louisiana native with a mean streak. Country strong bull rush and can add much needed depth on the Jets roster.

Right now the Jets currently have four defensive tackles on their roster and none on their practice squad. With injuries happening left and right, Smart makes sense.
