Seahawks add former New Mexico Highlands wide out to their practice squad

tylerToday the Seattle Seahawks added former small school wide receiver Tyler Slavin to their practice squad, according to Mike Garafolo. 

Slavin played his final two collegiate seasons at New Mexico Highlands after beginning his career at Arizona. He was the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year in 2014 when he caught 119 passes for 1,418 yards and 17 touchdowns. He also earned First Team All-American honors from Daktronics while being named Second Team All-American by D2Football.com. As a junior in 2013, Slavin recorded 18 receptions for 290 yards and one score. In his final season at Arizona, caught 22 passes for 224 yards and a touchdown.

Slavin was signed as an undrafted free agent by the St. Louis Rams this off-season.  Slavin is a good player with big play abilities.
