Football is about giving back, what is the coolest thing you have done off the field?

Some of the Cal players and I helped out a little league team at practice one day. It was cool to see the excitement that the kids had when we got there.

Where are you from?

Atlanta, GA

Who is your role model, and why?

My Father is my role model. He is a great husband and father, and has supported me throughout my career no matter what.

Did you play any other sports growing up?

Baseball

Did you play any other positions in football?

Holder

At your position, what separates you from others?

I try to use my football IQ and mental prep as much as, if not more, than my physical abilities to execute.

When you are breaking down film, what do you look for?

I look for what tendencies defenses have based on pre-snap looks, and try to figure out what they are doing before the ball is snapped. Each team has tendencies that they lean on and figuring those out can help during the game.

Who was the toughest player you ever faced?

Buster Skrine played with me in high school. He plays for the Jets now at CB

What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it?

After spending three years at Wake Forest playing baseball, deciding to transfer to play football was difficult and there were many obstacles. I overcame them with the help of my parents.

Do you have any pre-game rituals?

Positive self-talk and prayer

Minimal exposure
