Trey Lance is going to have tons of NFL personnel at his Pro Day | Carolina Panthers will be in full force

Trey Lance to the Panthers? They will have tons of scouts there
The Carolina Panthers could be showing their hand. Tomorrow Trey Lance will look to impress NFL scouts at his pro day and the Carolina Panthers will be heavily involved.

Trey Lance did not have a lot of film, being that he has only technically played 1 year of football at the FCS level. It is what he did in that one year that really has NFL teams drooling over him. Could the Carolina Panthers be all in on Trey?

When looking at Trey Lance you first notice his size and it will remind you a lot of Cam Newton. They both run the ball going downhill with a great amount of force. His physical stature is admirable, while he weighs in at 227 pounds and stands at 6’4. Being at that size is extremely helpful while he stands in the pocket to deliver throws.

Lance consistently stands tall and poised in the pocket even when the pressure is coming which is a positive and could be because of his size. On top of Lance being pressured he has a good sense of pocket awareness to flea out of trouble when needed which results in his talented running abilities taking over. Trey Lance isn’t a turnover machine. He likes to play it safe, meaning he won’t force a throw as much as he will hit his running back in the flats or his check down/hot route.

He will have at least 6 General Managers in attendance according to Albert Breer. NFL teams are only allowed to send three scouts to each pro day. The Carolina Panthers will have their GM, Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator in attendance. I would have to say the Panthers are the team most interested at this point.

We know the Panthers are looking for a quarterback but this to me is showing your hand. Trey Lance to the Panthers could happen, and maybe they will trade up to land him.
