Fantasy Football: Week 10 Waiver Wire Report

Jalen Reagor Eagles Fantasy Football Waiver Wire
This week if you are looking for a solid pick up via the waiver wire, Jalen Reagor of the Eagles would be a nice addition.

By Craig Forrestal

Just a few more weeks and it is playoff time. Playoffs?! Playoffs?! Don’t talk about playoffs! I hope we can just win a game! Oh, Jim Mora. That tirade will live on forever. Unfortunately, that tirade is true in fantasy football right now for some because they can’t think about the playoffs because if they don’t win now it is over for them and their fantasy hopes. So let us get those wins and rebuild our roster a little. Check out the NFL Draft Diamonds Week 10 Waiver Wire Report from That Sports Guy.

Week 10 Waiver Wire Report

  • Jalen Reagor/ WR/ Philadelphia Eagles: Travis Fulgham can’t do it all in the passing game. And now the Eagles appear to be getting healthy as a group of pass-catchers. Reagor (thumb) came back in Week 8 before going on bye in Week 9. He played a noticeably significant role in the Eagles’ offense and racked up 6 targets against the Cowboys. He only had 3 catches for 16 yards but came through with a TD. Reagor also ran for 6 yards and caught a 2-point conversion. Reagor is a burner and should be involved as a threat on the outside for the Eagles. He could be a WR3/flex play for the Eagles as they are facing a favorable schedule that should encourage them to throw the ball (Giants, Browns, Seahawks, and Packers the next four weeks). Next 3: @ Giants, @ Browns and Seahawks
  • JD McKissic/ RB/ Washington Football Team: My guy is back! I love these guys that are PPR cheat codes! McKissic has been one of the passing game favorites and continues to be one of the favored receiving options for the Washington Football Team. Against the Giants, McKissic had a team-high 14 targets and caught 9 passes for 65 yards. He’s not much of a rushing threat, as that’s Antonio Gibson’s wheelhouse. In PPR leagues, McKissic can be a legitimate RB2 as long as he continues to see this receiving volume. He stands a good chance to do just that with Alex Smith set to start over Kyle Allen because of an ankle injury to Allen. There is also a favorable matchup upcoming against the Lions and their defense that cannot stop running backs at all. Next 3: @ Lions, Bengals and @ Cowboys
  • Curtis Samuel/ WR/ Carolina Panthers: Many thought the return of Christian McCaffrey would lead to fewer opportunities for Samuel. Conversely, he became one of Teddy Bridgewater’s favorite targets in Week 9. Samuel finished the day with 9 targets 3rd on the team after Robby Anderson (13) and McCaffrey (10). Samuel added 105 yards and a TD. He had 3 touches as a runner and gained 13 yards on those attempts. It appears that Bridgewater will look to get Samuel the ball with teams still focusing their attention on Anderson and D.J. Moore. Samuel can be trusted in Week 10 as a flex against Tampa and then there’s potential for a nice showing against the Lions and Vikings in more favorable matchups in the following weeks. Next 3: Buccaneers, Lions and @ Vikings
  • Jakobi Meyers/ WR/ New England Patriots: Meyers has emerged as New England’s top WR over the past 3 games. In Week 9, he set career highs in catches (12), targets (14), and yards (169). The week before, he caught 6-of-10 targets for 58 yards. Meyers isn’t a Julian Edelman or Danny Amendola type of WR, but he’s showing to be the Patriots’ most trusted possession receiver. This will most likely continue when N’Keal Harry comes back. New England plays Baltimore next week, but matchups against the Texans, Cardinals, and Chargers after that could be much better for Meyers and his fantasy outlook. He should be rostered in PPR leagues. Next 3: Ravens, @ Texans and Cardinals
  • Danny Amendola/ WR/ Detroit Lions: With Kenny Golladay out in Week 9 with an injury, it was Amendola who stepped in as the primary target for the Lions offense. Amendola had 10 targets and 7 catches for 77 yards, all leading the team. Amendola did most of his work with Matthew Stafford, too, so that is a good sign entering Week 10. Amendola isn’t a player that comes with huge upside, but he can be fantasy relevant if he gets the targets from Stafford. Next 3: Washington Football Team, @ Panthers and Texans
  • Tua Tagovailoa/ QB/ Miami Dolphins: After a shaky first start, Tua looked better and found a lot more success against the Cardinals. He finished the game with 248 passing yards and 2 TDs. Tua flashed a little mobility with 35 yards on the ground. Now, Tua gets the Chargers defense that has allowed the 3rd most fantasy points per game to QBs. He’s a high-end streamer and he should continue to get better and more comfortable the more he plays. Next 3: Chargers, @ Broncos and @ Jets
  • Kalen Ballage/ RB/ LA Chargers: Kalen Ballage made the most of his opportunity after an early injury to Justin Jackson in Week 9. Ballage would go on to lead the Chargers with 15 carries and 69 rushing yards also adding a TD. He tallied 2 catches for 15 yards. Ballage has been the topic of talk in previous seasons as he was arguably one of the worst backs in the league last year with the Dolphins. He averaged just 1.8 yards per carry on 74 carries for the Dolphins. But clearly, something was working for Ballage in his Chargers debut. It is unknown how serious Jackson’s injury is or when Austin Ekeler (hamstring) will be back, but Ballage should continue to see meaningful carries while both are out. That could mean good things as Ballage has “revenge games” against the Dolphins and Jets in the coming weeks. Next 3:  @ Dolphins, Jets and @ Bills
  • Duke Johnson/ RB/ Houston Texans: David Johnson left Week 9’s game because of an injury (concussion), and Duke took over. Johnson rushed 16 times for 41 yards and a TD with another 32 yards on 4 catches with 4 targets. There is a possibility that Duke Johnson remains the lead guy if David Johnson is out next week against the Browns. Houston will have another running back sprinkle in with Duke and I expect it to be Buddy Howell (6ft1/224). However, Duke would still get the bulk of the backfield touches. That makes him a solid start in all formats and it wouldn’t be surprising if he performed comparably to Gio Bernard. Next 3: @ Browns, Patriots and @ Lions
  • Cordarrelle Patterson/ RB, WR/ Chicago Bears: Yes, that Cordarrelle Patterson. David Montgomery exited the Bears’ loss to the Titans and he didn’t return and has now been placed in concussion protocol. If Montgomery has to miss time, the Bears only have 2 RBs on their roster. One of them is Patterson and he has been on the field quite a bit this season for the Bears. Patterson did see 7 touches for the Bears against the Titans and finished with 40 yards. The pseudo-WR could be a nice option in PPR leagues if Montgomery were to miss time. The Bears upcoming opponents are not good against the run. Next 3: Vikings, Bye and @ Packers
  • Ryan Nall/ RB/ Chicago Bears: 6ft2 and 240. He’s a solid RB. He put up super respectable numbers at Oregon State rushing for over 2200 career yards and more than 500 receiving yards. This is the other Bears RB to consider if David Montgomery is out with injury. Nall is the only other true RB on the roster, and he came in to replace Montgomery late. Nall was able to catch 4 passes for 35 yards and a TD. He will have TD potential as he should be the preferred goal-line back over his teammate Patterson. Nall could put up some yardage against the weaker upcoming defenses. Next 3: Vikings, Bye and @ Packers
