Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning is a first ballot Hall of Famer, and I cannot think of anyone that will dispute that.  He is returning this year to try to break a record that is held currently by Brett Favre, and he should be able to do it.

Brett Favre is the current leader in career passing yard with 71,838 yards. Peyton Manning is just 2,147 yards behind #4, and if he is able to break the record this year, he will have his sixteenth record in the NFL.

Here are his other records:

  • Single season touchdown record (2013): 55
  • Most passing yards, season (2013): 5,477
