What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

My dad got me into the sport and it’s just a way of life in Texas. But I grew up loving the game.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

My favorite moments from my football life would be playing Hawaii it was my first career start as a sophomore.

Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?

My little cousin Bam. He passed away 3 years ago. But he looked up to me and saw me as an older brother. So I have to be good at what I do because I know he wants me to be.

What are your favorite things about playing football for Central Arkansas?

The brotherhood we have and the coaching staff. Makes you want to make plays even more when you have a family behind you like that.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

I would hang out with Marshawn Lynch. The dude is funny.

What are you looking forward to in your upcoming season?

I want to see how our team will hold up this year. We have some experience and a lot of talent. And I think we understand our scheme on both sides of the ball. So I look forward to seeing my other teammates make plays within the scheme.

What should we know about Cameron Godfrey the person?

Just a kid trying to make it to the next level and willing to do whatever it takes. But I’m family oriented and always willing to help my circle with anything.

What is your favorite defensive scheme and why?

4-2-5, I like for DBs to be active in the scheme.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

There’s always a good or better thing after a challenge. So if I run into a challenge as long as I remember that I know I will be alright.

What would a team get in a player like you?

A team would get a leader and energy at all times that is contagious.

What stands out about your film the most?

The speed that I play at and how fast I can recognize plays.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

The most underrated player I’ve played with was Corley Hooper LB he made plays every game and never got the recognition he deserved in my opinion.
