Chargers are trying to make a push to lock Philip Rivers up long term

Tonight Ian Rapoport of NFL.com, stated on NFL Total Access that the San Diego Chargers are working hard to lock up quarterback Philip Rivers to a long term deal.

Rapoport says that he expects the Chargers to make a “big push” to Rivers to an extension before camp is underway.

Just a few days ago a report came out that the Chargers were not moving to fast to get a deal done, but that seems to have changed.
