New York Giants need to pursue Jim Harbaugh and cut ties with Coughlin
The New York Giants need a change, and there will be a coach available for trade. His name is Jim Harbaugh, and he is a pretty solid coach. The New York Giants have suffered many injuries this year, but that is not an excuse for the team. They are pretty solid, depth wise on their entire roster. Even former NFL coach Tony Dungy feels Coughlin needs to step down.
Dungy said on NBC’s “Football Night in America” that Couglin shouldn’t be fired, but needed to step down. The Giants (3-9) have dropped seven straight and seem destined to finish with their worst record since Coughlin’s first season with the team.
Seven straight losses is horrible, and I honestly do not know what coach could change that around, but if I were to pick a coach available I would take Harbaugh who has led the 49ers deep in the playoffs every year since entering the league. Over his career he is 43-16-1, and although the Giants might need to trade a draft pick to land him, who else could they get to replace Coughlin who has been pretty good himself, but is no Jim Harbaugh.
I want to know what you think the Giants should do? Should they fired Coughlin?
