If the season ended today, three teams from the AFC North would make the playoffs

So as the season currently sits, 8 teams would make the playoffs from both the AFC and NFC, but did you know that three teams from the AFC North would technically make the playoffs?

If you look at this list put together by Sqor Sports, 3 teams from the AFC North would make the playoffs.

playoffNew England, Cincinnati, Indianpolis and Denver would all clinch their divisions with Denver and Indianapolis having a bye.  Baltimore and Pittsburgh would also make the playoffs in the AFC.

In the NFC, Dallas, Detroit, New Orleans and Arizona would all clinch their division.  Arizona and Detroit would have byes, while Philadelphia and Green Bay would be the other two wildcard teams.

The crazy stat is the Seattle Seahawks and the San Francisco 49ers would not even be in the playoffs if the season ended today…Ironic?
