Seahawks cocky corner gives Giants rookie wide out huge praise

Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman doesn’t often hand out compliments, but following a 38-17 beatdown of the New York Giants on Sunday evening, he made it a point to find wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. after the game and give him his due.

“He was just like, ‘you’re the real deal. You’ve got to keep working,’ ” Beckham Jr. said said of their exchange after the game. “He was like, ‘you’re going to be a great player. Just keep working”

Beckham burned Sherman on one play deep, but Sherman was able to get back and make a play to seal the game. He truly impressed Sherman. After the game Sherman talked him up a little more.

Beckham is a great player,” Sherman told the New York Daily News. “So they had to depend on him and take risks and take shots in games like this. He was able to get one earlier, which was a great play by him.”
