The Baltimore Ravens are cutting Chykie Brown, who is one of their only healthy corners on their roster. Brown has given up two long touchdowns this season, including a game-winning 77-yarder in Cincinnati and 54-yard score in Pittsburgh.
In a corresponding move the team is activating Terrence Cody who had off-season hip surgery. If he is not called up or placed on injured reserve for the remainder of the year the team would be forced to cut him.
If the Ravens do cut Brown and add Cody, they would be choosing to add more bulk to their defensive line while dropping to just two healthy cornerbacks on the roster: Lardarius Webb and Dominique Franks. Jimmy Smith (foot) and Asa Jackson (toe) are both on the shelf.
