Darren Sproles the Philadelphia Eagles running back knew he could get a punt return this week because they noticed something on film.
“During the week, the coaches were telling me I should get one this week,” Sproles said, via Philly.com. “Because they leave the middle wide open. So we had a middle return called and it hit.”
Sproles also scored an eight-yard touchdown run in the first quarter, and he said that one was easy, too. Sproles was surprised to see he had a clear path to the end zone.
“When I came back to the [left] side, everybody was over to the right,” Sproles said. “I’m like, ‘Man, what happened?’”
It sounds like the Panthers need to work on their special teams play and their set up.
