Arizona Cardinals extend Todd Bowles through 2017

The Arizona Cardinals and the defensive coordinator have agreed to extend his contract through 2017, NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported.

The extension does not preclude Bowles from pursuing a head coaching job.

Next year, Todd Bowles will likely be a head coach somewhere and he should be. He has the Cardinals defense playing at a high level.
