Tell us about your university/college. Did you participate in any other activities or campus organizations other than football?

Stetson is a beautiful campus that is very open to the community. I did not participate any other organization on campus.

How did you end up at Stetson?

Stetson was my only offer coming out of high school. They were very consistent throughout the recruitment process. Stetson also had a family culture that I gravitated to when they were recruiting me.

What do your teammates say is your best quality?

I will say my best quality as a teammate is my work ethic, learning from past mistakes, and integrity. I understand that a person’s integrity is everything.

What kind of role do you see yourself in on the team? What scheme and/or position suits your skill set?

My role this year on the team will be the vocal leader on the field and locker room. This is my redshirt senior year and I gained valuable experience from successes as well as failures. I believe that playing a man scheme really fits my skill set, because playing man you have to be confident and have good technique.

Who is the best player you have ever played against in college?

Which one of your teammates impresses you the most?

Dwight Lawrence is one of my teammates that I am most impressed with. He has been playing since his freshman year, and now this will be his junior year, so this is going to be a breakout year.

Describe a time in your life when you were able to overcome a struggle.

When my best friend/teammate passed away at the start of our sophomore year. It was really hard because we used to be together all of the time, so it was really a tough thing to get through. I owe it to him and myself to go out and give nothing less than my best. I still honor him at every game.

What is something that you are most proud of? What would you say is your biggest achievement?

Helping to bring the first winning season to Stetson was by far one of the proudest things I have done. My biggest achievement so far is making it through college.

Describe one of the most memorable plays of your collegiate career.

When I had a pick six during our homecoming game during my junior year.

If you didn’t play football, what other sport would you play?

If I didn’t play football, I would definitely be a basketball player. I grew up in a basketball household. My father played college basketball, and my sister currently plays basketball at Saint Joseph University. I also played basketball until I started college.

What was your major/minor? Other than football, what would be your dream job?

My major is Business Administration. My dream job would be owning my own sports rehabilitation center.

What have you been working on in the off-season?

I have been working on my speed and strength. I also have been working on my footwork by keeping my technique sound.

Do you have a favorite athlete or professional team? Is there a player that you model your game after?

My favorite athletes are Patrick Peterson and Tyrann Mathieu. I don’t model my game after anyone. I try to take stuff from a lot of great players and integrate the lessons learned in my game.

What do you do in your spare time? Do you have any hobbies? Do you have any secret talents?

In my spare time, I just chill with my family and play Call of Duty.

Why do you play football?

I play football because it is something that I always wanted to do. Football has always been my “getaway”. When I am on the field nothing else matters. I just truly love the game.

Who or what motivates you the most?

My family and my best friend Nick Blakely.
