Saints Gallette becomes the highest paid HBCU football player

galletteYesterday the New Orleans Saints rewarded Defensive End/Outside Linebacker Junior Gallette with a contract extension worth 41,500,000 dollars.  It makes him the highest paid HBCU football player in the NFL.  Gallette played his college football at Stillman College in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.  It is a very small school that only has approximately 1,000 students.  This is a huge win for the Small School Football Players, but mostly Stillman.

1. Junior Gallette (Stillman)- Saints – 4 years, 41,500,000

2. Robert Mathis (Alabama A&M) – Colts – 4 years, 36,000,000

3. Dominique Rodgers – Cromartie (Tennessee State) – Giants – 5 years, 35,000,000

4. Jason Hatcher – Redskins (Grambling State) – 4 years, 27,000,000

5. Kendall Langford (Hampton) – Rams – 4 years, 22,000,000

6. Antoine Bethea (Howard) – 49ers – 4 years, 21,000,000
