Panthers RB Tolbert has fracture; Stewart has severely sprained knee
Today Carolina Panthers head coach Ron Rivera told the media that Pro Bowl fullback Mike Tolbert has a hairline fracture in his right leg and running Jonathan Stewart has a severely sprained right knee, adding to the team’s mounting injury problems in the backfield.
Both injuries were sustained in Carolina’s 37-19 loss to the Steelers on Sunday night.
The Panthers are super thin at the running back position with DeAngelo Williams injured. I would not be surprised to see the team sign former Redskins draft pick Lache Seastrunk to the 53 man roster. Seastrunk is currently on the Panthers practice squad.
