Niners cut Kassim Osgood to clear a roster spot for Alex Boone

Today the San Francisco 49ers released special teams ace Kassim Osgood to clear a roster spot for offensive lineman Alex Boone.

@mattbarrows: The 49ers have added OL Alex Boone to their 53-man roster and have released WR Kassim Osgood to make room for Boone.

I would expect Osgood to get called up if any injury occurs on the Niners special teams.
