Rams begin making roster cuts; The Quest to 53
Today the St. Louis Rams began making roster cuts according to Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Dispatch.
@jthom1: And the cuts begin at Rams Park. Rams to release S Avery Cunningham.
Team’s need to get to 53 man deadline before 4:00pm tomorrow.
@jthom1: Rams to release OL Mitchell Van Dyk. a late draft pick in May.
@jthom1: Rams to release tight end Brad Smelley.
@jthom1: Rams to release LB Phillip Steward. He was one of the competitors for 6th linebacker spot.
@jthom1: Rams release OL Sean Hooey.
@jthom1: More names of Rams players cut: LB Etienne Sabino, DE Kourtnei Brown, DT Deantre Harlan, WR Emory Blake, OG Travis Bond, CB Darren Woodard.
Rams released QB Garrett Gilbert as well, leaving them with only two QB’s on their roster.
