Drew Brees Injury Update, The Saints QB is expected to miss time with a rib contusion

Drew Brees Kneeling Injured
Drew Brees is expected to miss several weeks with a rib contusion. The team wants to ensure he is healthy and can lead them in the playoffs.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media Insiders, Drew Brees is expected to miss some time with a rib contusion. He will go in for an MRI today to see if there is any cartilage damage.

This is not good news for Saints fans, but it is good news for Jameis Winston. Winston will get a chance to revitalize his career with the Saints. Winston is not afraid to sling the rock, and he has never lost his competitive edge. I would not be surprised to see the Saints keep winning.

The Saints play the Falcons next and I would love to see Jameis tear up Atlanta and remain in control of the NFC South.

Brees could miss several weeks, and if he does their schedule is not bad for Jameis. They play the Falcons, Broncos and then Falcons again over the next three weeks. The Saints need to rest their 41 year old quarterback and let him come back when 100 percent.
