Maurice Jones-Drew could be headed to the Big Apple

The New York Jets desperately need skill position players. Their leading ball carriers in 2013 were Chris Ivory (833 yards) and Bilal Powell (697). According to Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News, the New York Jets are showing very strong interest in Maurice Jones Drew.

Jones-Drew would enter camp and be the starter from day one.  The Jets need a back that can get it done, and right now the Jets rushing game is not scaring any team in the NFL.  If the team truly wants to limit Geno’s touches, this could be a very great option. MJD will be a very solid player for at least another two years if he can remain healthy.
