How many teams were recruiting you out of high school?

I was recruited by several D2 school and about 3 D1 school who wanted me to walk on.

How did you come to make your college decision?

I decided on WTAMU after I took my visit. I liked the campus and the fact that Canyon was small, coming from a small 1a school it was perfect for me.

Where are you training, and what are your goals for pro day/combines?

I will be training in Florida at Fit-speed and my goal is to beat all my personal records. 40, Vertical, Bench…. Etc.

Have any scouts met with you, and if so what are they saying?

They liked the fact that I was a quiet, humble, soft spoken person and passionate about football.

At your position, what separates you from the others?

I would have to say my catching ability, whether it be in traffic or just having to go up and make a play with defenders all over me.

Tell us what you look for when breaking down film?

I look for the weaknesses of the defense, especially the DB that is going to be covering me.

Who was the toughest player you have ever faced?

Every player is tough in their own way to me but I would have to say Deshaun Phillips who played for Tarleton. He is just a smart player.

If you could compare your play to one person in the NFL who would it be?

If I had to compare myself to anyone I say Alshon Jeffery. His mindset of every ball being his no matter the sacrifice of his body he has to take is the way I view it as well.

What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it?

My biggest obstacle was my transition from living with my parents to being on my own at college. It really hit me my first day of college that I couldn’t completely depend on my parents anymore and i had to grow up and take care of things on my own. What helped me overcome it was talking with people and realizing I wasn’t the only one going through it.

What system fits your style of play the best?

I would fit into any system well. I’m good at adjusting, if it’s a running team then my blocking skills would be useful but if it’s a passing team then my catching ability would be useful.

What is your biggest strength?

My biggest strength is my catching and being able to get separation between me and a defender.

What is your biggest weakness?

My biggest weakness is that I’m not very shifty and I don’t try to avoid contact. My agility is something I need to work on.

If I were a GM and gave you a minute to sell yourself, what would you say?

I’m a humble person who stays out of trouble and will come to work every day and give it my all.

Growing up, who was your role model?

My mom and dad have always been my role model, without them I wouldn’t be where I am today.

Who was your favorite team and player in the NFL and why?

The Dallas Cowboys have always been my favorite team because I was raised in a family where everyone loved them. My favorite player is Jerry Rice, I’ve always been a fan of his style of play and how unselfish he is but ever since he retired I’ve become a big fan of Larry Fitzgerald.

Oprah Winfrey, Walter Camp and Morgan Freeman
