How many teams were recruiting you out of high school?

I only had a few offers but the consisted of FCS, FBS, and BCS schools. When I committed to Uconn (BCS at the time) a lot more schools jumped on board but I was committed to them.

 

How did you come to make your college decision?

My college decision was a easy one. I loved Randy Edsall and what he was doing with the program and where he was taking it. But my decision on committing to Monmouth University in the transfer process was due to the location to home and the opportunities I had to contribute right away.

 

Where are you training, and what are your goals for pro day/combines?

I’m training at Test Football Academy In NJ. Some of my goals are to continue to show my athleticism and speed. At pro day and possible combine I want to show my ability to change direction and burst with speed.

 

Have any scouts met with you, and if so what are they saying?

To this point I’ve met with about 25 teams. They just give pointers on what to work and focus on. As well with some conversations in terms of how I would best fit their systems.
At your position, what separates you from the others?

What separates me is my overall speed and natural ability to play bump and run. Unlike some CB’s I don’t think any WR will run by me. Also some guys aren’t willing to play special teams. I’m the total opposite and love them from all phases as a gunner to returner.
Tell us what you look for when breaking down film?

When breaking down film my favorite thing to pay attention too is a WR’s posture. If you look closely you can separate their postures of not getting the ball and when its going to come their way. Little tendencies, like what they do with the hands prior to snap. Also formations are key in separating pass from run and if you can understand that then you have an advantage.
Who was the toughest player you have ever faced?

Toughest player I’ve gone against was my teammate Marcus Easley from Uconn. That guy is tough and a great WR, currently with the Bills.
If you could compare your play to one person in the NFL who would it be?

If I were to compare myself to someone it would be Brent Grimes.

 

What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it?

The biggest obstacle I had overcome in my life was leaving UConn and not being sure what was next. But by putting my faith in God and lots of guidance from my parents and coaches I was able to find a new school (Monmouth University) and excel in both the classroom and on the field.
What system fits your style of play the best?

I’ve played CB under four different DB coaches throughout my collegiate career so I can easily adapt and am very coachable.

 

What is your biggest strength?

My biggest strength is my speed. If you know how to use it; it can be deadly in all phases of the game.

 

What is your biggest weakness?

Some say it’s my size. But what I lack in size I make up in athleticism and aggressiveness.
If I were a GM and gave you a minute to sell yourself, what would you say?

If you want to hire a hard working player who is knowledgeable in the game ad takes pride in his craft. I’m your guy. Someone who knows what it is like to persevere and overcome all hurdles that life has thrown at him. This translates to the player I am on the field and off the field as it pertains to leadership and continuing the fight.

 

Growing up, who was your role model?

My father, he has been my support system and teacher my whole life.

 

Who was your favorite team and player in the NFL and why?

My favorite team is the Cowboys. It’s a family thing. My all time favorite player is Deion Sanders. He was just a thrill to watch growing up and is everything I want to be in a pro ball player.

 

If you were to have dinner with three people dead or alive who would it be?

Gronk, Ernest Hemingway, Niccolò Machiavelli

 

What would you buy with your first NFL paycheck?

I’ll buy my parents something to show my appreciation to them. Something special like a vacation for the two some where. Something that they can enjoy and meaningful to them.
