Draft Diamonds Prospect Interview: Nate Dreiling, LB, Pittsburg State

Nate Dreiling of Pittsburg State is a very good player with great instincts. Nate Dreiling has been very impressive in his career at Pittsburg State.  Dreiling is one of two Gorillas that will be at the East/West Shrine Game on January 18th, 2014 in St. Petersburg, Florida.  A true hard worker with tons of work ethic.  I talked to scouts who say they feel he could be the Peyton Manning of college football, meaning the guy is a film study rat.  He will get a chance in the NFL and we wish him the best of luck.

How many teams were recruiting you out of high school?

Fanfield.io

Pitt state was the only team to actually offer me out of high school.

Where did you choose and why?

I chose Pitt State because of the rich tradition and the family environment that the coaches bring forth.

Have any scouts met with you, and if so what are they saying?

I’ve talked to almost every NFL team and they are projecting me as a last round draft pick/priority free agent

At your position, what separates you from the others?

I feel that I have great instincts as well as high football IQ.

Tell us what you look for when breaking down film?

Everything from formations, to players pre-snap tendencies.

Who was the toughest player you have ever faced?

John Brown, our receiver from Pitt State.

What system fits your style of play the best?

I have played inside most my life but I’m comfortable playing where ever needed.

What is your biggest strength?

My instincts

Who was your favorite team and player in the NFL and why?

I am a Dallas Cowboys fan.I have always been a Ray Lewis fan and also Mike Singletary.

What was the most tragic event that ever happened in your life and how did you overcome it?

We went 6-6 my freshman year in college so that off-season we made it our goal to out work everyone else in the country. We went on to win the National Championship the following season.

If you were to have dinner with three people dead or alive who would it be?

Vince Lombardi, Paul Bryant, and Mike Ditka.
