Buffalo Bills add Jim Hostler to their coaching staff today

Today the Buffalo Bills hired Jim Hostler formerly of the Baltimore Ravens to their staff as a Wide Receivers coach. Hostler was the WR’s coach for the Ravens last year, and interviewed for the Ravens open offensive coordinator spot in Baltimore before being passed up for Gary Kubiak.

Hostler will join a team that needs all the help they can get on the offensive side of the ball.

Hostler, 47, has earned raved reviews for his work with the Ravens’ young receivers, such as Torrey Smith and Marlon Brown. He also has a good relationship with quarterback Joe Flacco and other Ravens offensive standouts.

Hostler has one season of offensive coordinator experience, with the San Francisco 49ers in 2007, but his offense struggled, finishing last in the league in total yards and points per game.
