Baylor quarterback Seth Russell is having an amazing season, but it is over now. Baylor redshirt junior QB Seth Russell’s season is over due to the neck injury he sustained against Iowa State, according to ESPN’s Joe Schad.

Russell fractured a bone in his neck and exited the contest with Baylor up by a huge margin.Russell has been exceptional this season, throwing 27 touchdowns to five interceptions, and is connection with Corey Coleman might be the best in the country.
Russell met with the specialist on Monday for the fractured neck bone suffered against Iowa State. Russell suffered damage to the cervical vertebra and will need six months to heal after surgery. The quarterback had played at a high level prior to the injury. Freshman Jarrett Stidham will start in Russell’s place.
